IWSG

I feel it would be a negative start to the year for my first blog post to be about feeling insecure - and this year is going to be all about being positive in as many ways as possible!

I haven't got a lot of resolutions - I think I have finally found a work/life/write balance so I want to keep that up - and as I said in my last post, I want to spend less time on Facebook and more time catching up with reading at times when I'm not writing.

Last year was good for me - I had several successes and only one rejection - and I THINK I have a more balanced view of rejections these days (although they are still ouchy!)

I daresay that by the first Wednesday in February I'll be feeling wobbly about something, but at the moment I'm bursting with life and raring to go - the gremlins are well and truly banished for now!

Are you feeling positive about your writing at the start of this new year? I'm looking forward to popping along to some of your blogs to find out!

Just in case you need a bit of a nudge in the right direction, here's a happy little bunny to cheer you on.

Bunnies are designed to keep gremlins at bay. I know this one will do the trick for you.

Yeah for feeling positive! I hope the gremlins stay banished. Happy New Year to you!

P.S. Thanks for sharing the bunny pic, definitely made me smile. :)

Love the bunny! I think I'll change my screensaver and put pictures of bunnies, puppies and ponies to scroll. That will clear the negative away in no time!

Thanks for the nudge!

Okay, that bunny is adorable! Who could feel down after seeing that. :)

But, really, I'm coming off a couple of good weeks of writing, so I'm feeling pretty secure right now too. Cheers to a new and productive new year!

I'm new to the group, but if you feel you've found some work/life balance, I'd say, don't rock that boat!
And I agree: we should start the new year with optimism, or at least, the belief that our insecurities can be tamed.

I have the same issue with spending time on Facebook when I could be catching up on other things. A recent trip back home which did not really allow for much Facebook perusing time helped me quite a bit. Good luck with it!

Awww. *sigh* Thanks for that pic.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I tried to visit all your blogs in return if I hadn't already, but couldn't find blogs for a couple of you. If you happen to pop back and read this, leave me a link! (Ciara, Yolanda were the two, I believe!)

Adorable bunny! It's fantastic you feel so positive. Let's hope it continues throughout 2013 (and can you pass a little on to me?)

Very cute! It sounds like you had a great year. I think that rejections have to hurt a bit, it's our baby after all, but it's how you move onward that's the key. All the best for a happy and productive 2013. love the title of your blog by the way!

..... And that you've done we'll in moving forward, I mean - didn't want that to sound like I was preaching :(
